Eleanor Oxholm

Eleanor Oxholm is the Case Management Coordinator/Volunteer Coordinator.  She assists clients in accessing a wide variety of social services in New York City, including housing, employment, education, legal assistance, and public benefits.  She conducts 6 Month follow-up assessments with French-speaking clients.  She also serves as the main point of contact for a wide variety of PSOT volunteers and interns, including those involved in administrative support, translation, clinical interpreting, tutoring, and English/GED/Literacy instruction.

Ms. Oxholm graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in International Studies in 2009.  She came to the program after a year of working with the International Rescue Committee as the coordinator of a weekly mentoring program for refugee youth and the Assistant Manager of a summer academy for refugee youth in Brooklyn.  She also gained case management experience while working with asylum-seekers and survivors of torture at HealthRight International. Ms. Oxholm is fluent in French and conversationally proficient in Mandarin and Spanish.  She is working part-time towards a Master of Arts in Human Rights Studies, with a particular focus on sexual and gender-based violence, at Columbia University.
