Director of Psychiatry Services

Dr. Aladjem is the Director of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Services at Bellevue Hospital and President of the Society for Liaison Psychiatry. In addition, Dr. Aladjem serves as both Co-Chair on the Medical Ethics Committee at Bellevue Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Aladjem is fluent in six languages and has previously worked with Holocaust survivors and counseled Israeli soldiers suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder. Dr. Aladjem has been with the Program since its inception overseeing its psychiatric services including consultations for medications and supervision of psychiatry residents. In 2002, Dr. Aladjem received the outstanding teacher award from the Department of Psychiatry at NYU/Bellevue.
